She was born May 24, 1933, in Clarks to Henry and Bertha (Harrison) Pickrel. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Before retiring she worked for Burn Bros. Truck Stop Restaurant at the I-80 interchange at Waco. She is survived by one son, Raymond Lorang and fiance, Teresa Johnson of Waco; five daughters, Karla (Dan) Noble of Ulysses, Claudia Foreman of York and special friend, Mark Sackschewsky, Mona (Roger) Lambert of York, Myrna Heins of Osceola and Brenda Pauly of York; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma Stromberg of Polk, Louise PIckrel of Central City and Phyllis HIlderbrand of David City; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands; an infant daughter; two brothers; two step-sisters; two step-brothers; four brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 9 p.m. Memorials in care of the family or to "Relay for Life." Metz Mortuary in York is in charge of arrangements.
