Phyllis C. Hilderbrand, 84, David City, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at David Place in David City. Phyllis was born August 19, 1930 in Clarks, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Harrison) Pickrel. She attended school in Clarks, and graduated from Clarks High School. On November 5, 1949, Phyllis was united in marriage to Merle Hilderbrand in Central City, Nebraska. She was a longtime resident of David City. Phyllis is survived by: sons, Dean (Pat) Hilderbrand, and Terry (Susann) Hilderbrand; five grandchildren, Ryan (Jamie) Hilderbrand, Bryan (Nicole) Hilderbrand, Doug Hilderbrand, Matt Hilderbrand and special friend Mandy Weldon, and Belinda Wohlers of Chadron; six great grandchildren, and one sister, Emma Stromberg. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merle; son Bill; daughter, Dianna Carson; and numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral service on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Kracl Funeral Home, David City. Committal in Central City Cemetery, in Central City, Nebraka.
