Daughter of Frank S. & Franciska (Shuda) Grayek. Married John Henry Greenwalt 3 Jan 1923 st St. Libory, Howard Co., NE. **** Grand Island Daily Independent Thursday 18 May 1972 p. 2 St. Libory - Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Greenwalt, 72, 1203 W. Fourth St., Grand Island, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Libory Catholic Church with the Rev. Andrew Augustyn offering the Mass of the Resurrection. Visitations will be Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening at the Keating Mortuary in St. Paul. Rosary will be recited at St. Libory Catholic Church at 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the St. Libory Cemetery. Mrs. Greenwalt died Thursday morning at a Grand Island Hospital. She was born Feb. 23, 1900 at St. Libory, to Frank and Frances Shuda Grayek. She grew to womanhood in the St. Libory community. On January 3, 1923, at St. Libory, she married John Greenwalt. the couple farmed in the St. Libory area until 1966 when they moved to Grand Island. She was a life-long member of the Catholic church. Survivors include her husband, John of Grand Island; sons, Robert and Clarence of Grand Island, Eugene of St. Libory and Lyle of St. Paul; sister, Mrs. Frances Wackerla of Oconto, and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
