Bio
Son of John & Lucy (Grayek) Greenwalt. Married to Betty M. Knuth on 6-3-1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral at Grand Island, NE. The couple first lived in Grand Island where he and his brother Gene operated the Skelly Gas Station. The couple later moved to Cairo where they farmed. In 1965, the couple moved to the family farm west of St. Paul, where they lived and farmed the rest of their married life. He is survived by his wife, Betty of St. Paul; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda and Steve Grim of St. Paul, Shelly and Bill Fries of Dannebrog, Barb Wojtalewicz of Grand Island, and Jennifer and Brian Carey of Huntersville, NC; and one son, Doug Greenwalt of Waukee, Iowa; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Helen Greenwalt of St. Libory. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Lindsey, Brittney and Kirstey Grim; Scott Fries and his wife, Brooke, Jeremy and Nathan Fries; Kayla, Kyle and Trevor Wojtalewicz; and Dylan and Brooke Carey; and two great-grandsons, Kellen and Barrett Fries; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant granddaughter; and two brothers, Robert and Clarence Greenwalt.
