Beasley, Betty McKINNEY - Betty Beasley, 77, of McKinney passed away Nov. 13, 2008, in McKinney. Betty was born Sept. 17, 1931 in McKinney to Clarence Jerden and Ludie Mae (Lewis) Self, but was raised by Lawrence and Virginia Self. She married Charles Ray Brown on Dec. 31, 1951 in McKinney who preceded her in death in 1967. Betty later married Bobby O. Beasley. Betty was a licensed vocational nurse and had most recently been employed with Childcare Services for the past 13 years. She spent most of her nursing career with People Care in Plano. Betty was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church in McKinney where she served the Lord faithfully. She is survived by her son, Rocky Brown of Dallas; daughter, Kristi Ann Snider and husband, Allan of Wylie; brother, Carlos Self of Sulphur Springs, and companion Bo-Bo, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Clarence and Ludie Self, the parents who raised her, Lawrence and Virginia Self, brother, Billy Self. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family received friends during a visitation on Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund, Waddill Street Baptist Church, 1401 N.
