Garden County News (Oshkosh, Nebraska), Apr. 23, 1981, Page 1 Ethel Viola Wymore was born to Charles Newton and Maude Giilan on February 4, 1900 at St. Edward, Nebraska. She died April 12,1981 at the Sedgwick County Memorial Hospital in Julesburg, Colorado. As a child Ethel attended country school near St. Edward. In 1909 the family moved to Garden County and Ethel attended the country school there. She took normal training at Kearney, and taught north of Lewellen in a sod school house. In 1921 she married Theodore McLey. Two daughters were born to this union. Ted passed away in 1929. On March 9, 1944 Ethel married Stanley Wymore. They lived north of Lewellen and in 1954 they moved to Red Cloud, Nebraska where they farmed and ranched until 1974 when they moved to Julesburg, Colorado where they retired. Ethers parents, 8 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in dead. Survivors include her husband Stan Wymore of Julesburg; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Shepard of Chappell, and Mrs. Barbara Anderson of Lincoln; two step daughters, De!ores Dayley of Mitchell, and Ardeen McCord of Rawlins, Wyoming; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Smith of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Ila Jacobs of Bridgeport; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Services were held Wednesday, April 15, 1981 at 11:00 a.m. from the Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh, Nebraska. Clergyman was Rev. Earl Von Ehrenkrook. Music was provided by Dennis Hutson who accompanied Ardeen McCord and Delores Dailey as they sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset". Pallbearers were J.D. Peters, Tony Shepard, Terry McCord; Joe Kinnie, Craig Anderson and Joe McCord. Interment was in Ash Hollow Cemetery at Lewellen, Nebraska with Holechek Funeral Home in charge of services.
