MRS. HAMMONS DIES IN NIGHT. Mrs. Pearl Belle Hammons passed away last night at the General hospital in Merced after a short illness. Mrs. Hammons was a native of Arizona and had lived in Merced for 15 years. She is survived by her husband Sam Hammons, two daughters, Mrs. William Smales and Mrs. Elmer R. Shaline and one son Clyde E. Plummer, all of Merced. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Imus of Hayward, California and Edwin Imus of Kingman, Arizona and a sister Mrs. Mae Young of Arizona.
