Bio
Nettie is the wife of George W Davis. She died in a fire along with her infant son. Nettie Imus married George Benjamin Davis, she was the daughter of Edwin Hiram Imus and Rosina Moore Hunt. May Eleanor Imus was Netties sister and May married George Wyatt Davis. Nettie was born March 1879 at Walnut Creek, Mohave Co., AZ and May was born Jan 7, 1878 at the Goodman Ranch near Walnut Creek. Suggested edit: The fire Nettie died in also took the lives of two of her children , a 4 year old boy and a one month old girl. The baby girl was buried with her Mother. Nettie's husband was nicknamed "Walapai" George and May's husband was called "Dead Eye" George. He had a white spot in one eye caused by a nail which snapped off when he was shoeing a horse. I don't know how the other George earned his nickname. 2024: I have discovered that Nettie's first name is NOT Mary. Her name was Nettie J. Imus born at The Willows. Mrs Young helped Rosina with Nettie. and toddler Ben was 11 months not 4 yrs. DBS
