Bio

Daughter of George Murphy and his wife Freda Stein. She married William Adress Spicer on 24 February 1895 in McDonough county, Illinois. They lived in Roseville for about 10 years, then spent the remainder of their lives in Monmouth. Mary was survived by her sons Vern of Decatur, Layle of Monmouth, and George of Roseville, as well as seven grandchildren. The funeral was held at Lugg Memorial Chapel in Monmouth, with the Rev. Charles E. Courtney of the West Side U. P. church officiating.
