James Monroe Brooks, age 49, died Monday, February 13, 1905 in Washington County, Arkansas. He was born August 11, 1855 in Missouri, the son of Lafayette Reed and Isabel T. (York) Brooks. He and Sarah Caroline "Carrie" Brown were married August 12, 1877, in Washington County. He is survived by his wife; two brothers; and three sisters. Burial is in Farmington Cemetery.
