~~~~~~~~~~ Melissa was the daughter of William and Priscilla (Wallace) Hyatt of Nebraska. She was married to Peter Albert Wertz 1866-1933. Peter is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia, MN. ~~~~~~~~~~ Obituary Mrs. Melissa Leana Wertz Funeral services are to be held this afternoon from the chapel of the Libbey funeral home for Mrs. Melissa Leana Wertz who passed away at the Itasca county hospital Saturday, September 7. Burial will be made in the Maple Hill cemetery at Hibbing. Born in Clarinda, Ia. October 19, 1873. Mrs. Wertz had lived in the Bovey community for the past 20 years. She is survived by five sons, Marion of Hibbing, Darwin and Leonard of Bovey and David and Marlen of Hutchinson; five daughters, Hilda Bower of Clarinda, Ia., Ellen Wakeman, Loretta Wakeman and Rose Cerutti of Bovey and Alice Waldahl of Hibbing; three brothers, William, John and David Hyatt of Valparasio, Ind.; and four sisters, Molly Robertson of Darwn, Ruby Vinnedge of Odessa, Calif., Bell Rodgers of Valparasio, Neb., and Ida League of Kearney, Neb. ~~~~~~~~~~
