Nick Thinnes, who came to Dawson county from his native Germany as a small child, died at the age of 91 on Saturday in the Lexington Hospital. He and his wife Elizabeth had been married for 66 years at the time of her death three years ago. Mr. Thinnes had 102 descednants at the time of his death, 13 children of the 15 born to him and Mrs. Thinnes, 36 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were Tuesday at 10 AM in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Overton. Note: Nick Thinnes was born in Luxenberg Germany, April 9, 1877. He came from a family of five (three brothers and dying before they came to America two sisters. His brothers were, John Thinnes,1872-1932, and Matthew Thinnes. John lived most of his life north of Overton, NE. He married a sister of Nick's wife (Elizabeth Wengler). Matthew Thinnes lived in Hastings, NE
