Bio
Mrs. H.K. Vorderstrasse, 72, died at her home in Lebanon, Oregon, November 22, 1948, after about a month's illness. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phoebe Trauernicht and was born May 22, 1876, at Corning, Mo. When a small girl she moved to Wymore with her parents and sister Nancy. They later moved northwest of Byron, where she grew to womanhood. Here she attended school, was confirmed and married to Henry K. Vorderstrasse Oct. 26, 1898. This union was blessed with ten children. They celebrated their Fiftieth Anniversary when all the children were present. They moved to Oregon last October. She leaves her husband and children: Ernst, Albany, Ore., Mrs. Sadie Zeimke, Philomath; Paul, Mrs. Yetha Rust, Gerhardt, and Erich, all of Lebanon; Mrs. Irene Keetz, Waco, Nebr., Walter of Wichita, Emmet, Lincoln and Alfred, Lincoln Park, Mich. Also grandchildren and great grandchildren and four sisters and one brother.
