Garrey Guy Holley was born on August 14, 1900. His father, John Lewis Holley, was 32 and his mother, Archie Mildred Graham Holley, was 27. He married Violet C Woods on August 31, 1928, in Clovis, New Mexico. They had two children during their marriage. He died on September 4, 1960, in Gilliam, Oregon, at the age of 60, and was buried in Vale, Oregon. He served in World War I in the US Navy. Garrey Holley VALE — Garrey Guy (Jim) Holley, 60, died in a Boise hospital Sunday. He was born in Oklahoma on Aug. 14, 1900. He was married to Violet Woods at Clovis, N. M., Aug. 31, 1928. He was a veteran of World war I and a member of Vale lodge No. 142, AF&AM. Mr. Holley had been a resident of Vale for the past 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Violet, of Vale; a son, John, U. S. Air Force base, Mountain Home; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas J. Meyers, of Oakridge, Ore.; a brother, Carl, of Poughkeepsie, N. Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Dennis of Wink, Texas and Mrs. Viola Fenton, Albuquerque, N. M. Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of Christ in Vale with T. V. Skinner officiating.
