Married Dora Iburg on February 21, 1929 in Wayne, Nebraska Ivan C. Hintz ONTARIO — Services for Ivan Carl Hintz, 72, Ontario, who died Wednesday at an Ontario hospital, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bertelson-Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario, by the Rev. Harry Spaude, Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, Vale. He was born Aug. 6, 1904, in Coleridge, Neb. He was a retired farmer. He married Dora Iburg Feb. 21, 1929, in Wayne, Neb. They moved from Nebraska to rural Ontario in 1936 and into Ontario in 1965. In 1939 he won the Malheur County corn-picking championship. Surviving are his wife, Dora, Ontario: two sons, James F. and Tom D. Hintz, both Ontario; a daughter, Mrs. Ramon (Evelyn) Karnes, San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Charles, Belden, Neb., and Sam, Coleridge; four sisters, Mrs. Iola Puntney, Randolph, Neb., Mrs. Eve Sala, Wayne, Neb., Mrs. Delia Benjamin, Hartington, Neb., and Mrs. Marion Brayton, Grand Junction, Colo., and six grandchildren. A son, John, died in 1961. Friends may call at the chapel Friday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
