May 23, 1985 Funeral services for Elliott Rutherford Foster, 85, of Odessa, formerly of Decatur, were held Thursday , May 23 at Coker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Sweetwater Cemetery with Joe Richards presiding. Foster was born in Wise County, Texas on January 8, 1900 and died at his home in Odessa on May 21, 1985. He was a resident of Odessa for two years and was affiliated with the Allison Community Church. Foster was a farmer by trade. He was married to the late Edith Lynch. Survivors includes one daughter, May Bell Copley of Odessa, two sons, Gene Foster of Plano, Bill Foster of Denton, two sisters Mary Underwood of Hurst, Katie Horton of Azle, ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren. Pall bearers were Mark Foster, Brad Foster, Buddy Foster, Sam Foster, Eddie Copley, Tony Redwine. There were eight honorary pall bearers. Coker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. ------
