Daughter of David William Campbell and Kizzie Ann Averett Married Joseph France Shurtz, 23 Nov 1891, Escalante, Garfield, Utah Children - Josephine Francis Shurtz, Alpha Lavina Shurtz, William Darius Shurtz, Kizzie Ann Shurtz, Rhoda Margaret Shurtz, Rose Ellen Shurtz, Sariah Jane Shurtz, Olive Bell Shurtz, Joseph Francis Shurtz, Wanda Mae Shurtz, Thomas Elba Shurtz, Benjamin Sheldon Shurtz, Pansy Lucille Shurtz, Laura Elizabeth Shurtz Obituary - Annie Elizabeth Shurtz Called By Death. Annie Elizabeth Shurtz was born in Panguitch, Utah, on February 12, 1873, and was called by death on May 22, at Portland, Oregon, at the age of 72 years. She is survived by 4 sons and 9 daughters: William and Joseph, both of Idaho, Thomas of Camas and Benjamin Shurtz of Washougal, Mrs. Josephine Shurtz of Lebonan, Ore.; Mrs. Annie Cornett of Idaho; Mrs. Margaret Winiger of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Rose Jinkins of Tenino, Wash.; Mrs. Jane Ehrs of Washougal; Mrs. Olive Blunt of Jerome, Idaho; Mrs. Wanda Haskins of Wasco, Calif.; Mrs. Lucille Heath of Floria; Mrs. Laura Tuttle of Washougal; also 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 75 grandchildren, and 69 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shurtz had lived here for fourteen years. Funeral services were held at Stoller's Funeral Chapel, with Elder Denn officiating. Music was furnished by Mr. W. Samuelson of Washougal, who sang "I Need Thee Every Hour" and "O, My Father" and was accompanied on the pipe organ by Mrs. Dorothy Egaas. Pallbearers were Bert Yoes, Jim Dean, Paul Stevson, Jim Hennessey, Mr. Dowdle and Mr. Anderson. Interment was made in the Camas cemetery.
