Bio

Funeral services for Martin G. Cochran, 81, of Huntington will be held Monday, December 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Troy Stanbery officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery. Mr. Cochran was born August 14, 1944 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Catherine (Garland) and B.F. Cochran, and died Sunday, December 21, 2025 at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of Huntington. He was a Huntington High School graduate and played on the 1962 Basketball State Champion team. In the mid-70s he started Martin Cochran Logging, running it for 15 years, and was the retired owner of Rayburn Country Store. Mr. Cochran enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his store. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amy Cochran; brother, Muggins Cochran; and sister, Sandra Stovall.
