He was buried in Austin Memorial Park, Austin, Travis Co., TX. John married (1) ANNIE R SMITH daughter of J J or JACON SMITH and Lucinda C WHITIS on 6 Nov 1909 in Austin, Travis Co., TX. Annie was born on 28 Feb 1889 in Burnet Co., TX. She died on 20 May 1932 in Austin, Travis Co., TX. She was buried in Oakwood Cem.,Austin, Travis Co., TX. The marriage ended with death of spouse. OBITUARY ************************* JOHN FAHEY WALKER SR., 77, a former resident of Austin died at his home in Galena Park Thursday. He was the son of Dr. John Henry WALKER. and Elizabeth Madeline FAHEY. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mrs. Annie R WALKER of Austin, TX. He was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, San Jacinto Chapter. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha H WALKER of Galena Park; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Athene ADAMS of Pasadena; one son, Major John WALKER Jr. US Army in Naples, Italy; a step-son, Dan N. HARPER of Houston; one brother, L. F. Walker of Stillwater, Okla; three sisters, Mrs. Anita Edens of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Hilda Pillow of Ft. Worth and Mrs. Bessie Webb of Houston. 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Rosary was Friday evening at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Galena Park. Requiem mass will be offered Saturday at 9 a.m. at Our lady Fatima Catholic Church in Galena Park.
