Bio

Elizabeth E. (Hayes) Wilson, born on 21 December 1842 in Adams County, Mississippi, daughter of James Madison Hayes and Martha De F. (Hawkins) Hayes, died on 15 March 1930 at the home of her daughter Clara W. Roberts in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bascom Wilson, whom she married on 24 December 1861 in Concordia Parish, Louisiana; and five children, including Charles L. Wilson, Eloise Wilson (possibly also known as Juliette or "Juliatt"), James K. Wilson, and Albert P. Wilson. She was survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. P. Ehrlich (Shawnee, Oklahoma) and Mrs. W. A. Roberts; a son, William Joseph Wilson (Houston); and five grandchildren. Services on Sunday, 16 March 1930, were followed by interment at Washington Cemetery.
