Wilson, age 82 years, died at 12:35 Tuesday morning at the home of his son, W. J. Wilson, 1615 Washington avenue. Mr. Wilson was born and raised in Natchez, Miss. In 1861 he was married to Miss Elizabeth E. Hayes, who survives him. Of their eight children, three are living, W. J. Wilson and Mrs. R. E. Floyd of Houston and Mrs. J. P. Ehrlich of Colorado, Texas. Five grandchildren, a brother, W. H. Wilson of Natchez, Miss., and a sister, Mrs. C. T. Latimer of New Orleans, La., also survive him. Mr. Wilson came to Houston in January, 1884. He was a contractor. As a Confederate Veteran he was a member of Dick Dowling camp. The funeral service will be at the home of W. J. Wilson Wednesday afternoon at 6 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Mr. Brown of Tabernacle Baptist church. Burial will be in Washington cemetery. The pallbearers will be Frank Clay, W. P. Riggs, J. J. Hall, J. W. Tinkler, J. S. Luckie and E. H. Sterritt. Wilson, 1615 Washington avenue, early Tuesday, was held from the home at 6 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. W. N. Brown officiating. Burial was in Washington cemetery. The pallbearers were Frank Clay, W. P. Riggs, J. J. Hall, J. W. Tinkler, J. S. Luckie and E. H. Sterritt. Note: Wilson served as a Sgt. in the Natchez Fencibles, Co. G, 12th Mississippi.
