13 Nov 1975, New Berlin (Sangamon Co., IL) - Miss Emily Pearl Prince, formerly of New Berlin, now of Long Beach, California, died 9:30 a.m. Tuesday there. She was 57 years of age. She was born September 1, 1918, in Kentucky, daughter of Ed and Tona Parmley Prince. Survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Herman and Fred Prince, both of New Berlin; Floyd Prince of Chicago; Mrs. Louise Bryant of Sherman; and Mrs. Frances Pace of Long Beach, California. There are several nieces and nephews surviving. Miss Prince was preceded in death by a brother, Obie, and a sister, Gertrude Pratt. Rev. Keith Magee, pastor of the United Baptist Church of New Berlin, officiated. Mrs. G. T. Dunlap, vocalist, sang “In the Garden” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.” Mrs. Robert Keyes was organist. Casketbearers were nephews of the deceased: Robert Bryant, John Bryant, Jr., Herman C. Prince, Jr., Donald Prince. Gary Prince and Kenneth Pratt.
