Peter "Pete" Johnson, 94, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his residence. He was born in the Burnout Community to Edd Johnson and Ruby Shewbart Johnson. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was an electrician and worked at U.S. Reduction and Tiffin Motor Homes. Pete was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of First Baptist Church of Red Bay. He was an avid outdoorsman and gardener. Services will be Wednesday, November 19, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Brad Overton officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 19, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements. He is survived by a son, Stanley Johnson (Connie); two daughters, Caroline Page (Joel) and Missy Bates (Larry); two grandchildren, Jodi Page and Zachary Johnson; one sister, Gennie Bolton (H.B.); two sisters-in-law, Linda Johnson and Jo Ann Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and also great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-eight years, Tommie Lou Johnson; brothers, Delbert Johnson (Earlene), Alton Johnson (Earlene), Jack Johnson, Edward Johnson and Dwight Johnson; sisters, Imogene Trail (Jack), Mae Lovett (Jack) and Jo Peterson and several nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama, Bay Health and Wellness and all the caregivers for the excellent care that you gave to him. Pallbearers will be Zachary Johnson, Tony Turbyfill, Jim Edward Johnson and Terry Johnson.
