Tommie Lou Lawler Johnson, 88, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at her residence. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born in Hodges, AL and worked as bookkeeper at Red Bay Nursing Home for more than twenty-five years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL and a member of DAR. Services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Brad Overton officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Pete Johnson; son, Stanley Johnson (Connie); daughters, Caroline Page (Joel) and Missy Bates (Larry); grandchildren, Jodi Page and Zachary Johnson; sister-in-law, Linda Sims; niece, Debbie Campbell; nephews, Chuck Campbell, Jay Lawler and Jamie Lawler; several great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Lawler and Dora West Lawler; a sister, Hildred Campbell (Jerry); a brother, E.J. Lawler and a nephew, Phil Campbell. Pallbearers will be Zachary Johnson, Jim Johnson, Terry Johnson, Jeff Crutchfield, Gary Lee Gasaway and Terry "Boo" Wilson. The family would like to thank North Al. Hospice, Keller Home Health, Bay Health and Wellness and all of her caregivers for the excellent care that you gave to her.
