Funeral Service for Lena Pearl Bailey Johnson were Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Rev. Arlen Smith officiated with her burial following at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cravens, LA. Lena Pearl Bailey Johnson was born on March 2, 1910, in Cravens, LA, to Mr. & Mrs. Ike Bailey. She passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011, in Westwood Manor Nursing Home, DeRidder, LA. Mrs. Johnson, 101, was a loving wife and mother. Ms. Lena was active in her church and community. She, along with her husband, Earl R. Johnson, Sr., served their community for over 30 years as owners and operators of Earl Johnson's Grocery in Cravens. Together, they raised a family of seven children and provided love to a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Ludie Wisby Bailey; her husband, Earl R. Johnson, Sr; her son, Earl R. Johnson, Jr. and daughters, Dolores Earlene Scogin and Jimmie Ruth Hardisty. Survivors include five daughters and husbands. Provided by Duffie & Kathy
