Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery under direction of Ardoin, Oakdale. James, 73, of Pitkin died at 10:05 p.m. Friday in Humana Hospital, Oakdale. Survivors include his wife, Susie W. James of Pitkin; four sons, Huel James of Pitkin, Huey James of Willis, Texas, Elray James of Oakdale and Therm an James of Ville Platte; one daughter, Melba Castleshouldt of Kennard, Texas; two brothers, Carl James of TombalL Texas, and Herman James of Houston; seven sisters, Lela Strother, Jewel Bishop, Emma Richardson and Buelah Hicks, all of Orange, Texas, Oma White of DeRidder, Ann Brinkley of Silsby, Texas, and Lois Woods of Houston; 12 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Friends may call after 8 a.m. today in the funeral home in Pitkin
