Bio

Julia was born Oct. 6, 1910 at Gothenburg, Nebraska. In 1917 the family moved to a homestead southwest of Lingle, which was called Veteran. On March 18 1928 she married Earl William Oaks, in Gering Nebraska. She was a teacher and even taught on Laramie Peak. She retired in 1974 until moving from Laramie Peak in 1983. She died in Torrington on July 7, 1994. Julia Pearl Cochran- dob 6 Oct 1910 Gothenburg, NE , dod 7 Jul 1994 Torrington, Wy. Parents Charles Seward Cochran 17 Nov 1881 to 1967. Pearl May Anderson 17 Mar 1889 to 13 Nov 1967. They should be buried at Torrington. Julia's husband, my Grandfather, Earl William died of a heart attack. He worked in the mines near Sunrise, Wyoming. My father was 16 when he passed away.
