Bio

Son of William Spears Haney and Sarah Elizabeth Marsh. Paternal grandson of Hezekiah Haney. Maternal grandson of William H. Marsh and Elizabeth Harrell. Eli died in the Civil War, and though the place of his death is unknown, his body was returned to his family for burial. He died unmarried. Eli's name appears on The Family Memorial of William S. Haney Faulks Baptist Cemetery Marshville, Union, North Carolina
