Bio
Roy was born on August 15, 1923, to Jesse Valden and Oma (Ellison) Hildebrand in Delhi, Oklahoma and passed away on September 9, 2025, in Enid. He graduated from Delhi High School. Roy married Frances LaVerne Moran on August 28, 1943, and they had 4 children together: Dwayne Hildebrand, Vicki Hildebrand Lefler, Roy Hildebrand, and Scott Hildebrand. Roy worked for several railroad companies which include the Santa Fe, Rock Island Railroad, Frisco Railroad, and Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a switch foreman and conductor for the railroad until he retired. Roy's memory lives on with his two sons Dwayne and Roy Gene Hildebrand; six grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances LaVerne Hildebrand; daughter Vicki Sharon Hildebrand Lefler; and son Scott Hildebrand.
