Bio

Eva Dean Richmond was born on May 15, 1930 the daughter of Oma Belle (Ellison) and Jessie Valton "Dutch" Hildebrand in Delhi, Oklahoma and passed away on May 20, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 90 years and 5 days. Eva Dean grew up in the Delhi community where she graduated from high school in 1948. She was married to George Bell and to this union two children were born Karen and Sharon. Eva Dean was always known for her entrepreneurial spirit. She bought the Moore Flower Shop in 1960. She continued to own and operate Sayre Floral until 1974 when she sold it and then bought Octa’s and changed it to the Unique Boutique in Sayre. It was known as one of the diamonds in western Oklahoma for women wanting the cutting edge of fashions. Her “boutique” certainly didn’t fit the definition because of the size. She had clients coming from hundreds of miles away rivaling the large stores in the big cities. Eva Dean sold the store in 1992 when she married the love of her life, Lloyd Richmond and they made their home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eva Dean was a woman who made every day of her life a celebration and lived it to its fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Bonnie Jean Hildebrand, Shirley Killian and Frances Blakley, and 1 brother, Bud Hildebrand. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd of the home, 2 daughters, Karen Young, and Sharon Bell, both of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 grandchildren, Erin Gill, James Gill and James Young, 1 sister, Roxie Babek, 1 brother, Roy Hildebrand as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later time in Sayre-Doxey Cemetery. Local arrangements are being handled by Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service – West, Elk City, OK.
