Margaret Chopskie was born on 10 October 1892, in Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota, Her father, Joseph Chopskie, was 35 and her mother, Eva Ruml, was 30. She married Joseph Svoboda in South Dakota and they had 1 son Harold August Svoboda on Aug 31, 1913. From 1930 to the end of her life she lived in the Los Angeles area, California. She died on 1 July 1959, at the age of 66, and was buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles, California.
