Eva Ruml was born on 21 December 1861, in Předměsti, Polička, Bohemia, Austria. Her father, Bartholomew J Ruml, was 35 and her mother, Theresa Frances Fleishans, was 25. She married Joseph Chopskie. They had 5 sons (Thomas, Joseph, Michael, Andrew, & Anton) and 3 daughters (Marie, Margaret, & Theresa). She lived in Badger Township, Davison County, South Dakota, in 1900 and Eldorado Township, Buffalo County, South Dakota in 1910.
