Bio

Wayne O. Moore, 93, of Olton, died Sunday, August 24, 2025, at his home in Olton. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Olton Cemetery, with Chaplain Guy Atkinson officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton. Wayne was born June 29, 1932, in Olton, Texas, to Eddie and Dovie (Watson) Moore. He graduated from Olton High School in 1949 and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955, stationed in Pearl Harbor. While there, in 1952, Wayne accepted Christ as his Savior and faithfully lived as a believer for the next 73 years. On December 19, 1964, Wayne married Glenda Faye Williamson in Olton, and together they shared nearly 39 years of marriage until her passing in 2003. A lifetime resident of Olton, Wayne worked at the Olton Enterprise before owning and operating Wayne's Printing for many years. He was also a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Plainview. Wayne was known as a perfectionist and a man of many talents—a true jack of all trades. He enjoyed carpentry, electrical work, and restoring classic 1950's cars. He also loved riding motorcycles and took pride in everything he put his hands to. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda; two brothers, Benny Moore and Truman Moore; and a sister, Rachel Moore. Survivors include his son, Tim Moore of Olton; his daughter, Kristi Moore of Lubbock; and his sister, Cloma Bateman of Canton. He was also blessed with two grandchildren, Caleb Moore and wife Chelsi, and Aaron Moore; along with four great-grandchildren, Rayland, Wrenley, Layton, and Cyrus.
