Gertrude Kuciemba DECEMBER 21, 1931 – AUGUST 14, 2025 Gertrude Kuciemba, of Montgomery, Texas passed away at her home on August 14, 2025, at the age of 93. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience and family devotion, being a loving wife and mother, cherished grandmother and a beloved great-grandmother. She was born on December 21, 1931, in Bremond, Texas to her parents, Ike Lott, Sr. and Manie Tomczysyzn Lott. Gertrude is survived by her loving husband of over 73 years, Bruno; sons, Jimmy Kuciemba and wife, Dana; Jerry Kuciemba and wife, Linda; daughters, Doris Zajac and husband, Richard; Diane Hilden and husband, Bumper; Bernice Springfield and husband, Mark. Gertrude was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Chris Kuciemba, Jeremy Kuciemba, Jennifer Mech, Tracy Zajac, Jackie Hilden, Jonathan Hilden, Candi Blandford, Kristin Herrin, Dustin Springfield, Marissa Allen and Clay Kuciemba;15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Darnell; numerous nieces and nephews. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Jeremy Kuciemba, her brothers, Ike Lott, Jr. and Kie Lott, her sisters, Leah Bartkowiak, Florine Wilganowski, Louise Muzyka, Cecile Slafka, Verna Wilganowski, Christine Bench, Helen Wierzbicki and Mary Trojacek. A visitation for Gertrude will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas with a rosary at 6:30 PM. Funeral mass will occur Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 109 N Frazier St, Conroe, Texas. A graveside committal service will occur Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Hilden, Dustin Springfield, Clay Kuciemba, Karston Kuciemba, Richard Zajac and Mark Springfield. Obit published by the Metcalf Funeral Directors. Article published in the Houston Chronicle on March 9, 2002: Bruno and Gertrude Kuciemba 50th Anniversary Bruno and Gertrude Kuciemba were married in Bremond, Texas on January 26, 1952. To celebrate this golden anniversary, their children and grandchildren honored them with a dinner and dance reception at St. Mary's Parish Hall in Plantersville, Texas on January 26, 2002. Fifty years have blessed Bruno and Gertrude with five children, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bruno and Gertrude reside in Montgomery, Texas.
