Bio
The son of Vennie and Bessie Mach Nemecek. His wife, the former Philura M. Reid, whom he married Aug. 7, 1954, in St. Louis County, Mo., died March 4, 1998. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was involved in the Isaac Walton League, had been involved in the Masonic Lodge, enjoyed sports and most recently, spent time at the Legion Hall. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Vennie and Kristin Nemecek of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Maria Christine Cain of Wilcox, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Dyson Thomas Nemecek and Cyri Rose Nemecek, both of Anchorage; one sister, Twila Berman of Wahoo; one brother, Vennie Nemecek of Michigan City, Ind.; and one sister-in-law, Katie Nemecek of Wahoo. Deceased are his parents; one brother, Edward Nemecek; and one brother-in-law, Harry Berman.
