Bio

Anna "Annie" Boehm was born on 10-15-1879 in Austria/Germany to Jordan Boehm and Katherine Gajer/Geiger Boehm. The family immigrated to US on the steamship Werra and arrived in New York on September 15, 1883. Annie was the oldest daughter of Jordan and Katherine's 9 children. She attended schools in Lavaca and Fayette counties. On 11-25-1903 Annie married Christian Charles Cook at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton. To this union were born 11 children: Edwin Ervin Cook; b. 9-20-1904, d. 11-11-1982 Martha Irene Cook (Barta); b. 8-20-1906 Eleanora Anna Cook (Holub); b. 1-22-1908, d. 4-6-1997 Bertha Cook; b. 10-9-1909, d. 10-9-1909 Anita Emma Cook (Weikel); b. 10-4-1910, d. 10-18-1983 Charles Christian "Boy" Cook, b. 8-15-1912, d. 1-4-1988 Mary Cook (Blume); b. 3-26-1917 Ida Agatha Cook (Maeker); b. 2-8-1918, d. 4-2-1987 Lillian Cook (Bailey), b. 7-9-1919 Alice Alma Cook (Kotzebue); b. 7-31-1921 Oscar Lee Cook; b. 3-6-1924 Annie passed away on June 1, 1961 at the age of 81 in the Flatonia Rest Home of congestive heart failure while she was taking a noon day nap.
