Bio
Thomas Joseph Johnson was the last child born to David Johnson and Mary Ann Holder. His family would leave Alabama after the civil war and move to Titus County, Texas. Thomas was living with his brother James Harrison Johnson in the 1880 census in Bowie County. He married Miss Mary Elizabeth "Bettie" Howard on the 17th of Jan 1883 in Franklin County and have their four children in Mount Vernon before moving to Brownwood around 1896. The obituary attached to this cemetery record names his only living sibling, Elizabeth Drucilla "Lizzie" Johnson Seay, who died on the 5th of July 1942. His father, David Johnson, was born in South Carolina around 1823 married 3rd of Feb 1848 in Barbour County to Miss Mary Ann Holder born in Warren County, Georgia around 1832. His father will marry Hamey Ann Lindsey Creech in 1857. Siblings of Thomas Joseph were Cornelia Samantha Johnson Monk Nation 1848-1931, Elizabeth Drucilla Johnson Seay 1850 - 1942, James Harrison Johnson 1852 - 1928, and Mary T Johnson 1854.
