Bio

Daughter of David Johnson and Hamey Ann Lindsey. Wife of H L Courtney, married 3rd Jan 1889 Bowie County. Her children were Frances Bertha Courtney Klepper and Ellen Ophelia Courtney Collins. These two girls were listed in the 1900 census in Lamar County, Texas living with a woman named Polly Hicks, widow, who said they were her daughters. I believe that Polly was sister to Henry Lee Courtney's 2nd wife, Harriett Addie Vail.
