Bio

George Volarik, 83, of Needville, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home in Needville, TX on Monday, July 7, 2025. Born in Damon, Texas, on May 29, 1942, George lived a whole and meaningful life rooted in hard work, family, and simple joys. George was born to Paul and Annie (Prihoda) Volarik. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Volarik, and his brothers, Henry and Johnny Volarik. He is survived by his dear sister, Dorothy Blinka of Rosenberg. George began his working life in the oil fields, where his dedication and strong work ethic stood out. Later, he found purpose in farming and also served the community by running the Texaco gas station on Highway 36 in Damon, a familiar place for many locals over the years. He loved playing bingo with Virginia, fishing whenever he could, and making trips to Louisiana. George enjoyed the simple things in life and had a soft spot for his loyal dog, Brownie, who remained by his side through it all. George is survived by daughter, Jennifer (Rickey) Malovets of Rosharon; sons, George Allen (Jennifer) Volarik of Needville, and Patrick Volarik of Conroe; grandchildren, Jodi (Austin) Crawford of Angleton, Jaci Malovets (JD Laughlin) of West Columbia, Dustin Volarik of Conroe, Cody (Zoey) Volarik of Conroe, and Allyssa & Layla Volarik of Damon; great-grandchildren, Jaxson & Harper Crawford of Angleton.
