Fort Bend Herald, Tuesday, September 23, 2025: Dorothy Ann (Volarik) Blinka, 88, of Rosenberg, Texas, passed away on September 18, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1936 in Damon, Texas to Paul and Annie (Prihoda) Volarik. Dorothy's faith was devout and strong in her God. She was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg where she was with the Altar Society and enjoyed volunteering at Holy Rosary Catholic School. Dorothy's hobbies included gardening, cooking and fishing. Some of her most treasured times were spent with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy will truly be missed. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Blinka; daughter, Cynthia Huggins; and her brothers, George, Henry, and Johnnie Volarik. Survivors include her children, Patricia Kramer and her husband, Michael, Margie Fleming and her husband, David, and Michael Blinka and his wife, Cecelia. Dorothy's legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Krystle Randle and her husband, Gayland, Jonathan Kramer, Ashley Bernard and her husband, Ben, Drew Fleming and his wife, Paityn, Elizabeth Huggins, and Alex Huggins and his wife, Marie; great-grandchildren, Jayden Randle, Ellie & Lilly Bernard, and Baby Girl Fleming. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pallbearers will include Jonathan Kramer, Gayland Randle, Drew Fleming, Ben Bernard, Tommy Kuykendall, and Alvin Blinka, Jr. Her kindness and devotion will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Ms. Jessica and the staff at Village Forest Care Cottage for their compassionate care of Dorothy.
