Bessie Dial Willis OAKDALE -- Funeral services for Bessie Dial Willis will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, in Hopewell Baptist Church, Oakdale, with Rev. Alfred Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Oakdale, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Willis , 82, of Elizabeth died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, in Orange Park, Fla. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She retired from federal civil service. She is preceded in death by her first husband, J.B. Willis second husband, Ernest Willis and one son, Larry Willis. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Jerry Kemp of Orange Park, Fla. one brother, Jim Dial of Rosepine, one sister, Mamie Odom of Pitkin five grandchildren two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, in Hopewell Baptist Church, Oakdale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Fla., 32257.
