Bio

Duane "Gus" Jensen, 71, of Grand Island, NE passed away on April 15, 2025 at home. To honor Gus's wishes, he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Gus was born on October 9, 1953 to Allen and Rachel (Walkama) Jensen in Central City, NE. He later graduated high school in 1972 from Central Catholic High School in Grand Island, NE. He was married to Pamula Reed on April 20, 1974. Gus worked as a drywall contractor for many years. Some of his best memories were of deer hunting with his father, brothers, and son. Gus also enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music, and Husker football and volleyball. Gus is survived by his children, Chris (Stephanie) Jensen of Grand Island, NE and Tana (Sean) Wilson of Walton, NE, 5 grandchildren, Hunter Jensen, Camden Jensen, Madden Jensen, Keira Wilson, and Brianna Wilson. He is also survived by sister Vivian (Patrick) Barry, brothers David (Patty) Jensen, Mark (Patti) Jensen, and Mike (Beth) Jensen, and sister-in-law Doris Jensen. He is preceded in death by brother Allen Jensen and his parents.
