Obituary (from the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow funeral home website): Barbara Dean (Houser) Long, 80, passed away surrounded by her family on April 13, 2025, in Leonard, Texas. Barbara was born on December 2, 1944, to parents, John J. Houser and Julia Inez (Minton) Houser in Dallas, Texas. She married the love of her life, Robert Lee Long, Jr. on July 25, 1969, in Dallas, Texas. Barbara will be remembered by her step-daughter, Donna Duncan and husband, Steve; daughter in law, Debbie Long; grandchildren, Courtney Sekaly and husband, Gary, of Leonard, Texas, Chase Miller of Leonard, Texas, Casey Williams of Denton, Texas, Chasney Threadgill of Little Elm, Texas, and Tiffany Johansson of Carrollton, Texas; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Caylen, Madison, Gavin, Evelyn, Brooke, Jakob, and Adam; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Angela Miller and her husband, Charlie; stepson, Gary Long; and brother Johnny "Cotton" Houser. Family will welcome guests at a visitation from 6-8PM, Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 701 North Cedar Street, Leonard, Texas 75452. A funeral service, officiated by Bro. Charles Wrenn, will be held at 2PM, Friday, April 18, 2025, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow. Following the service, a procession will lead to Valley Creek Cemetery for burial. Pallbearers for Barbara's service are Darvin Nolen, Gary Sekaly, Jeremy Miller, Jesse Miller, Bobby Houser, and Aaron Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Long, Chase Miller, Kevin Butts, and Phillip Houser.
