Robert Thomas Obituary From Cottle Funeral Home Robert L. Thomas, 84, of Troup, passed away on July 26, 2024, in his home in Troup, Texas. He was born on June 14, 1940, in Clarksville, Texas, to the late Troy K. and Irene Holleman Thomas. Funeral service for Robert L. Thomas will be at 10:00 A.M on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Henry's Chapel Methodist Church, Troup, Texas with Reverend Katherine Scott officiating. Burial to follow at Henry's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation services will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M on Monday July 29, 2024, at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup, Texas. Robert was a resident of the Troup community, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a retired Gauger from the Oilfield. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Henry's Chapel Methodist Church, Troup. He will forever be missed by his family and friends. ∼ Robert L. Robert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tracye and Kevin Martin of Troup; sons and daughter-in-law, Adam and Wendy Thomas of Troup, and Bruce Thomas of Troup; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Bettye Thomas of Arlington, and Danny and Martha Thomas of Hobbs, NM; 8 grandchildren, Carolanne Delossantos and husband Anthony, Taylor Dobbs and husband John, Kayla MacDonell and husband Daniel, Brett Martin and wife Jackie, Troy Thomas, Marissa Wimberly and husband Caleb, Wesley Thomas and wife Amber, and Shane Thomas; 8 great-grandchildren, Sawyer Wimberly, Riley MacDonell, Rebecca Thomas, Jude Dobbs, Tucker MacDonell, Harper Dobbs, Archer Wimberly, and Beau Dobbs. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy Thomas, and brother Donald Thomas. Pallbearers will be Brett Martin, Troy Thomas, Wesley Thomas, Shane Thomas, Anthony Delossantos, John Dobbs, Daniel MacDonell and Caleb Wimberly. Honorary Pallbearers will be Great-Grandchildren.
