CLARKSVILLE — Irene Holleman Thomas, 86, of Lone Star community, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006 in Arlington. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Lindeman Chapel with the Rev. Don Shovan and the Rev. Don C. Benton officiating. Interment follows in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Red River County, the daughter of Calvin and Lula Scott Holleman. She was a retired food service manager at Gainesville Independent School District. She was a member of Lone Star Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Troy Thomas; two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her sons, Larry Thomas and wife, Betty, of Arlington, Robert Thomas and wife, Judy, of Avenger, Danny Thomas and wife, Martha, of Hobbs, N.M., and Donald Thomas of Arlington; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Adam Thomas, Trent Thomas, Bruce Thomas, Lance Thomas, Kevin Martin and Matt Myres. The Paris News
