Bio
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, for Charles Curtis Hendricks74, at the Sparkman-Brand Ross Avenue Chapel in Dallas with Rev. Steve R. Philpot officiating. Interment was in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. Mr. Hendricks passed away at his home in Dallas Monday. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sarah M. Hendricks; sons, Willie, Oscar, and Oliver, all of Dallas, and Alfred of Shreveport, La.; a step-son, Robert Melton of Howe; one daughter, Mrs. L. M. Mathews, Seagoville; three step-daughters, Mrs. Jesse Metcalf, Mrs. Nettie Bolden, both of Dallas, and Mrs. Reta Smart, Wichita Falls; one sister, Mrs. Nettie Meador of Hico; fifteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Meador was in Dallas Wednesday to attend the services. **Obituary originally published in The Hico News Review, Hico, Texas on September 28, 1956.
