Albert Charlie Patak, lovingly known as "Pawpaw", peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus at the age of 96 on Friday, March 21, 2025 in Ennis, Texas with family by his side. Albert was born November 04, 1928 in Ennis, Texas to Adolph R. and Louise Horak Patak. Albert grew up in Ennis, Texas and attended Pearidge School on Creechville Road for grades 1-8 and graduated from Ennis High School in 1945. He joined the Army in August of 1946 and served for two terms. On June 13, 1953, Albert married Helen Lanicek and they began their life in Oak Cliff before buying their first home in Wilmer in 1957. In 1968, Albert and Helen made their final move to their hometown of Ennis, Texas. Albert had a very strong work ethic. This was reflected in the time that he worked for Dallas Air Motive, later known as Ryder Aviall, where he worked for 37 years as a machinist, retiring in 1993. After retiring, Albert enjoyed gardening, farming and raising cattle. He was a member of KJT of Ennis, Texas. Albert wanted to be remembered for his strong love of the Lord. Albert is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Patak, parents, and sisters Victoria Watson, Ruphine Patak and Alice Tacker, brothers Adolph Patak and Alphonse Patak as well as his granddaughter's husband, Kevin Culpepper. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00, with the service to follow at 2:00 at J.E Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis.
