Bio
Funeral service were held Wednesday afternoon at the Jecmenek Funeral Home at Ellinger for Theodore Karl William "Willie" Lilie, 59, who died at his home Monday of heart failure. Burial was in the Kaiser Cemetery near Brushy, with Rev Paul Fischer of the Frelsberg Lutheran Church officiating. Undermeyer Bros of Columbus was in charge of the arrangements. Born Dec. 27, 1888, near Frelsberg, he was a son of Fritz and Adolphine Becker Lilie. On Dec 22, 1907, he was married to Ottilla Georg, who survives. A farmer, he had lived in the Frelsberg area all of his life. Besides his widow, he is survived by six children, Ewald, Elo, Elmo, Earlene, Lee Roy and Edna, all of Frelsberg and three grandchildren, Leander, Pearl and Carol Jean Lilie and three half-brothers, Harry Lilie of Houston, Herbert Lilie of Brushy, Henry Lilie of Columbus. Three brothers, Fred, Gus and Grist and one sister, Johanna died some time ago, also three half-brothers, Theodore and August Priesmeyer and Hubert Lilie and two half-sisters, Matte and Louise Priesmeyer Colorado County Citizen, June 24, 1948
