Vada Bell Doyle Sternburg November 25, 1934 - March 5, 2025 Funeral services for Mrs. Vada Bell Doyle Sternburg will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Tony Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Beauregard Cemetery, DeRidder, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Sternburg, 90, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Vada was a stay-at-home mother who had fifteen children, whom she loved. When she developed dementia and even before, her youngest, Timmy, really stepped up and was always with her to help with her daily living for many years. In her eyes, no one else could fill his shoes; he did everything the best. She loved to play bingo, travel, and always had a pot of coffee brewing and a jar of Vicks Salve if you needed it. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Raymond T. Lowe and Leonard J. Sternburg; four sons, Bobby, Randy, Jack, and Johnny Boy; her parents, Jeff and Gincie Doyle; six brothers; and six sisters. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her children, Timmy, Sherry, Joe, Jackie, John, Darnell, Dorman, Keith, Barbara, Peggy, and Dale; seventeen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Nikolas Sternburg, Brandon Sternburg, Jude Lowe, Logan Todd, Kevin Johnson, and Justin Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Sternburg, John Lowe, Waylon Sternburg, and Aaron Sternburg. www.rushfh.com
