Bio
Charles James Jones, Jr., age 71, of Grand Island, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th from 5-7 pm at All Faiths Funeral Home. Charles was born on November 11, 1953 in Grand Island to Charles Sr. and Rose (Sanchez) Jones. He graduated from Senior High in 1972 and then attended UNL for a year. Charles was married and the couple later divorced. Charles was employed with Case New Holland for over 20 years before his retirement. He enjoyed retirement and being able to help with his grandkids as needed. He spent many weekends at the horse races, win or lose. He liked cooking and having his weekly Friday lunches with his friends. His greatest pride and joy was being able to spend time with his grandkids and being involved in their activities. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jon (Jennifer) Jones of Grand Island, Megan (Mike) Young of Grand Island, Charles "CJ" Jones III of Grand Island and Jacob Jones of Minnesota; grandchildren, Addison, Easton, Oakly, Oliver, Hunter, Charles IV, Paxton, Paisley, Jase and Lauren; brother, Nick Jones and sister, Charlotte Wilson. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Monica Gentry.
